Constellation Game Modes

Classic

Highest score at the end of the game, or first to connect n wormholes, wins! In this game mode, black holes are merely destructive, and do not reward extra points for being connected.

Containment

Humans vs. bots. The goal is for the humans to "contain" the adversary bot team, and achieve a certain score before the bots. If all of the human teams reach the target score before the bot teams, the humans win.

Sandbox

This game mode plays like Classic, but can display custom objectives to players at the start, and will not declare any specific team a winner at the end.

Resistance

Offense vs. Defense. Some teams will be assigned as the Offense teams, and the others as the Defense teams. For Offense to win, they need all teams to reach the designated score. If they fail to do so, the Defense team wins. In this game mode, only the Offense teams accumulate points, and only the Defense teams have steals available.

Black hole

The only way to score points in this game mode is to connect black holes. Points are calculated by determining the value of the network destroyed when black holes are connected. HQ placement phase is skipped in this game mode.
