There are three configurable setting options for new Proxima games: Seed, Custom Map, and Beginner Game.
Seed allows an alphanumeric string to recall a previously generated map. Custom Map allows the recall of specific maps by name, which is primarily used by the concepts team when creating scenarios. Both fields can be left blank.
A standard Proxima game is 10 minutes and includes three satellite deployments. Checking the box below Beginner Game creates a 5 minute game with two satellite deployments and a smaller map.
When Seed and Custom Map are blank, a Proxima map is randomly generated based on the number of players online on the largest team when the Make Game button is pressed. Teachers can add late-arriving students to existing teams after the game is made, but cannot add new teams or shuffle previously placed students between teams.
