The system evaluates student progress in real time with "micro-assessments" present in every lesson, constantly checking for student understanding before moving on to new material.
Synthesis Tutor is unique in that we do not wait for some set time to provide a summative assessment. Instead, we fully integrate the assessments into the lessons themselves. Assessments happen in the moment and your child will only be able to move on in a lesson or unit once they demonstrate they have understood and mastered the material being taught.
Our model is continuous assessment vs. a one-time test.
We also send weekly progress emails that will include important data on your child's activity and subjects that they covered for the week. In the near future, these will include Common Core State Standards and written summaries of your child's performance in each lesson, including where they struggled and where they triumphed.
